Empower your child with the advantages of a German-English bilingual education and dual curriculum

Deutsche Schule Melbourne (DSM) is a primary school offering Foundation to Year 6. We follow both the Victorian and German curricula and empower children with the advantages of a bilingual education. We are proud to be laying the foundation for international pathways and opportunities.

To join DSM, students don’t need any prior German knowledge. Students who join in Years 2 to 5 (it currently says 6, please change to 5) without prior German language skills participate in our highly individualised New Arrivals Pathway to transition into the mainstream program.

DSM is an Independent Victorian School as well as an accredited German School Abroad.

"As a family with no German background, we were excited to send out child to DSM to be submerged in a language, but it was important for us to offer our child the opportunity to become truly bilingual.

The school offers a great curriculum which is supported by amazing teachers and staff at DSM and they have made our experience seamless. Our child, we are told, speaks German fluently and is also thriving in the more advanced programs that the school offers such as maths as well as an additional language.
