Deutsche Schule Melbourne is a not-for-profit incorporated association with more than 180 members. The majority of members are active and support the success of the school in various ways. They are involved in different working groups, attending working bees or are members of the board of governance. Most board members are elected representatives of the school association. In addition, the German-Lutheran Trinity Church and the German-Catholic St. Christophorus Church hold one board position each.

Florian is the current chairman and has been on the board of the school since 2005. He has the overall responsibility for school operations as well as maintaining relationships with sponsors and other external networks. Florian is a director for L.E.K Consulting which focuses on strategic consulting for commercial and not-for-profit organizations. |

Volker represents the St Christopheros church on the board. Volker joined the board in 2007. Volker is also the chairman of St Christopheros parish council. Volker is a technical consultant working for CSC. He is a specialist for the implementation and operations of SAP systems.

Peter represents the Trinity Church (Dreifaltigkeitsgemeinde) at Deutsche Schule Melbourne. He is also the school's treasurer. Peter has had a very successful career in business management positions. He has had many years of experience working as a board member for not-for-profit organizations, including Deutsche Schule Mumbai.

Collin is the secretary for the board and his key focus is to champion continuous process improvement for Deutsche Schule Melbourne. Throughout his career, he has had extensive experience working with a variety of Manufacturing and Financial Services Companies in the areas of strategy development, corporate functional review, business improvement, and process excellence.

Caroline looks after Community Relations and Events on the board. She works with the local and German communities to develop reciprocal relationships with DSM, to increase awareness of the school and promote school and community events. Professionally, Caroline is a Business Manager for a growing dental practice which operates from two sites in Melbourne.

Evelyn’s role on the board is to advise on educational issues such as Curriculum and Pedagogy. She has over thirty years of experience teaching German and English in secondary schools in both government and non-government systems in Victoria and Tasmania. Evelyn is currently teaching German at an independent private school in Melbourne.

Bernd is responsible for Marketing at DSM. He is Associate Professor for Parasitology at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, the University of Melbourne. He is also the editor of one of the leading international scientific journals in his field and has substantial experience with marketing and graphic design.

Ralf is responsible for building and maintenance. He wis employed as the City of Melbourne's Water Sensitive Urban Design Co-ordinator and brings a wealth of relevant experience for his role with the school board. His role includes overseeing the implementation of the building works funded by the Commonwealth Government Education Revolution. Works include building a new toilet block, a canteen and other general improvements. Ralf also has a key role in planning how the school meets its space requirements as it grows and develops.

Johannes is responsible for HR and personnel management at DSM. Johannes is also the CEO of Tabulam & Templer Homes for the aged. Most recently he managed the mission for the blind in Hildesheim/Germany and he has significant experience with personnel and general management of not-for-profit organizations
