Sandra Battistoni is the Head Teacher at Deutsche Schule Melbourne and also a class teacher. She has significant experience teaching German in multicultural environments.
In her role as Head Teacher, Sandra works closely with all the teaching staff to coordinate and regularly refine the teaching of the bilingual curriculum. It is usually Sandra who helps welcome interested families to the school and explains the details of the educational model.
Sandra says that whilst she enjoys all parts of her job, the most rewarding part is working with the children in the classroom. "Teaching children and helping them to grow into confident and socially competent personalities who can smoothly transition between cultures and languages is a delight."
